Arizona’s Republican Congressman Paul Gosar should have checked with Snopes first; he tweeted a FAKE photo of former President Barack Obama shaking hands with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani with the caption “The world is a better place without these guys in power.”

Almost immediately politicians, reporters and anyone who has ever thought of using Photoshop came for Gosar. So who does Gosar blame for his mistake? “Dim-witted reporters”, according to his reply.

He continued “No one said this wasn’t photoshopped. No one said the president of Iran is dead. No one said Rouhani met with Obama in person. The world is better off without them in power.”

This isn’t the first time this fake photo has been used. Buzzfeed caught a Wisconsin Republican Senator using it in a 2015 campaign.
