According to the rules of the ongoing impeachment trial, Senators are forbidden from talking, checking their phones, or even drinking coffee during the proceedings. But the rules don’t say anything about fidget spinners.

North Carolina GOP Senator Richard Burr was seen handing out fidget spinners to his colleagues ahead of Thursday’s session, and several were spotted playing with them during Democratic arguments.

Other senators have been seen drawing, reading, or doing Sudoku puzzles during the trial.
