One person was killed and five more injured when a gunman opened fire aboard a Greyhound bus in California.

The bus was traveling from L.A. to San Francisco on Interstate 5 early Monday morning when the man began shooting.

Police say the driver pulled over and was able to convince the man to leave the bus, where he was taken into custody by police.

One woman was killed and five others were taken to hospitals for treatment.
