Car Plunges Into River Minutes After Driver Passes Test

Perhaps officials at the department of motor vehicles should reconsider this guy’s driving privileges.

Just 10 minutes after receiving his license, a man in Southern China, identified as Mr Zhang, plunged his car into a river.

After being pulled from the icy water, Zhang admitted he was reading congratulatory text messages from friends, rather than keeping his eyes on the road.

According to reports, the country’s maximum penalty for distracted driving is two points and a 200 yuan fine ($29 USD).
