Just like in the US, sports in Italy were shut down following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

But they will start returning next month, said Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on Sunday.

Along with the opening of public parks and gardens on May 4th, athletes will be allowed to begin training individually, with group sessions resuming on May 18th.

If medical experts give the thumbs up, Serie A soccer could potentially resume in June, although a decision on that front will be made at a later date.
