Tom Hanks delivered the virtual commencement speech for the graduates of the Department of Theatre, Dance and Motion Pictures at Wright State University.

Wright State is located in Dayton, Ohio.

The five minute speech was recorded at his home and released on Twitter by the university.

The professor and department director is a good friend of Tom Hanks.

In 2016, Hanks visited the campus for the dedication of the Tom Hanks Center for Motion Pictures.

He referred to the graduates as “the chosen one’s” and said, while the future is always uncertain we are certain of one thing- you will not let us down.
