So incensed that he was asked to wear a mask inside a Michigan Dollar Tree, a customer took it out on the cashier, wiping his face on her shirt.

Now Rex Howard Gomoll has been charged with one count of assault and battery, a 93-day misdemeanor, after police tracked him down to his home.

The 68-year-old entered the discount store on Saturday, which had signs noting the directive posted on the doors. When confronted by the employee, Gomoll shouted, “Here, I’ll use this as a mask,” and grabbed her sleeve.

Gomoll has been ordered not to return to the location or have contact with the woman.
