Snowstorm Headed For Northeast And New England

As if 2020 wasn’t strange enough, a snowstorm is barreling down on the Northeast this weekend, with the potential to dump a historic amount of heavy, wet precipitation.

The storm is set to mix with the polar vortex on Friday, which could tie or shatter low-temperature records after Saturday and Sunday.

Some areas will only see a dusting, while others could get 6-8 inches. According to the weather experts, isolated parts of extreme northern New England could get up to a foot of powder.

If you live in Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, or Albany in New York; Scranton, Pennsylvania; or Burlington, Vermont, you might want to make sure your shovels, scrapers, and rock salt are nearby.
