President Donald Trump continues to face an onslaught from opponents, but it could all essentially come to a screeching halt if the Supreme Court sides with his team.

Oral arguments take place Tuesday in a case that will decide whether a sitting president is immune from all investigation and subpoenas while in office.

Three House committees led by democrats are among those who want scores of documents dating back years as they continue to investigate potential malfeasance by the Commander in Chief in his private life. Trump is the only modern president who, so far, has continued to refuse to release his tax returns and divest from private enterprise.

Director of the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law told ABC News that “It would literally put the president above the law if the Supreme Court sides with the president’s lawyers in this case.”
