Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has been released from prison to home confinement over coronavirus concerns.

The 71-year-old Manafort was convicted in 2018 of tax evasion and other crimes as part of the Mueller investigation. He’s serving a seven-and-a-half year federal prison sentence.

While no coronavirus cases have been reported at Manafort’s prison in Loretto, PA, the Justice Department has instructed federal prisons to ‘prioritize home confinement’ to avoid the virus.
