Reports from human rights organization claim that China has arrested hundreds of people for speaking publicly about the coronavirus outbreak.

One report claimed as many as 500 people have been arrested since January, for incidents raning from criticizing the government to simply posting an article about long lines at a funeral home.

China is among the lowest-ranked countries in the world in terms of freedom of the press, with more than 100 Chinese journalists currently in jail.
