Tropical Storm Cristobal Forms In Gulf Of Mexico

Another tropical storm is brewing off the coast of Mexico.

On Tuesday, a tropical depression in the southern part of the Gulf of Mexico formed into Tropical Storm Cristobal – the third named storm of the 2020 hurricane season.

Heavy rains from the depression have already caused deadly flooding in El Salvador and Guatemala.

Cristobal is currently about 105 miles west of the Mexican city of Campeche and will move north across the Gulf this week.
