Because of the coronavirus, Starbucks has announced that 400 of its North American stores will be closing permanently.

According to Starbucks officials, the reason for closing the stores is because of the way consumers have changed since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

With the closing of stores, Starbucks plans to unveil “pickup stores” in markets that will feature drive-thru only, curbside pickup, and walk-up windows a strategy lots of restaurants have used since the coronavirus pandemic started.

In fact, a recent report revealed that 80 percent of orders in the U.S. have been done using the Starbucks app.
