Election Experts Fear ‘Catastrophe’ In November

Election officials are increasingly wary of a ‘catastrophe’ in November, as the coronavirus wreaks havoc on our ability to handle a nationwide election.

This week’s primaries in Georgia and Nevada were plagued by a shortage of both mail-in ballots and polling stations, resulting in voters having to stand in line for hours – and November’s lines could be even longer.

Some estimate it would cost as much as $4 billion to upgrade the vote-by-mail system to handle the demand for absentee ballots.
