Army investigators from Fort Hood are again searching an area near the Leon River following a tip.

Civilian authorities, including the Texas Rangers are also assisting in the search for missing soldier Vanessa Guillen.

The canvass began late Sunday and has resumed Monday, the fifth time the area has been searched, station KHOU reports.

Guillen has been missing since April 22. Last seen in her regimental engineer squadron headquarters parking lot on base, her wallet, ID card, room key and car keys were found in the armory room where she had been working earlier that day.
