Walmart has announced that it will no longer display the Mississippi state flag in its stores.

According to Walmart spokesperson Anne Hatfield displaying state flags is commonplace for Walmart stores, but with Mississippi’s flag being under scrutiny it was thought to be best to not display the flag in stores.

The flag of Mississippi includes the Confederate emblem and calls to change the state flag have ramped up again.
