According to a report from Bob Nightengale of USA Today, White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is expected to elevate Chris Getz to the General Manager Role.

Reinsdorf fired executive vice president Ken Williams and general manager Rick Hahn on Tuesday amid another disappointing season.

The 39 year-old Getz currently serves as the team’s assistant general manager, overseeing the White Sox minor league operations and player development.

Nightengale adds that it could be weeks before an official decision is made, but is the overwhelming favorite to lead Baseball Operations.
