Petey’s Bungalow has been serving diners in Oak Lawn for over sixty years. The supper club style steakhouse and seafood restaurant was run by Petey Kattos and his wife Mary since 1961.

On Tuesday October 15th Petey’s will close it’s doors on for the final time. A staple on 95th Street, the restaurant was a warm homey place for people to come and unwind, enjoy great food and make friends with their neighbors.

Mary passed away last year and Kattos has decided the time to retire has come.

Petey said he will spend his last remaining days at the restaurant “doing what he loves most in the kitchen and greeting friends while honoring any outstanding gift certificates.”

Last year, a second location, Petey’s II in Orland Park also closed after the property was purchased by Pete’s Fresh Market, a grocery store chain.
