(CHICAGO) With flurries and snow showers tapering off around the city, the Tuesday morning commute will be left with slick and wet streets. Temperatures are expected to remain in the teens into the afternoon hours, therefore leaving the potential for ice and slick spots around the Chicago metro.
As of 5:05am, the following areas have recorded these amounts of accumulated snow:
1.4″ Winnebago, IL
2.1″ Romeoville, IL
2.8″ Elgin, IL
3.1″ O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, IL
Many of the outlying counties are seeing roads mostly covered with snow and ice, as the city of Chicago arterial streets have been cleared in the overnight hours.
