(OAK FOREST) Three businesses in south suburban Oak Forest were cited last week for selling alcohol to minors, state authorities said.
The Illinois Liquor Control Commission and the Oak Forest Police Department conducted compliance checks on 19 businesses in Oak Forest on Thursday, Feb. 19, according to a statement from the ILCC.
Three businesses were issued citations after they failed the check:
— Cindy’s Pub, 5230 W. 159th St.;
— Circle K, 5600 W. 159th St.;
— Oak Forest Bowl, 15240 S. Cicero Ave.
The 16 other businesses passed the compliance check by refusing to sell liquor to the ILCC’s underage participant, according to the statement. None of the businesses visited had previously failed a compliance check.
