(CHICAGO) A firefighter was injured while battling a South Side house fire that displaced six Fuller Park neighborhood residents from their home Wednesday morning.
Crews responded about 4:15 a.m. to the blaze on the first floor of the two-story home in the 5000 block of South Princeton, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Juan Hernandez said.
The fire was under control within the hour, leaving five adults and a child displaced, officials said.
A firefighter who suffered an ankle injury while battling the blaze was taken in good condition to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Hernandez said.
The cause is under investigation.
