#PinkOut the United Center TONIGHT at the Chicago Bulls game versus Charlotte

By Jen DeSalvo, WLS-AM 890 News

(CHICAGO) Tonight, the Chicago Bulls take on the Charlotte Hornets in their sixth preseason match-up of the 2016-2017 NBA season. Unlike other nights though, it is hoped that the United Center will be a sea of pink instead of the traditional red and black one would normally see supporting a game. The Chicago Bulls along with Advocate Health Care are joining dozens of breast cancer survivors, fighters and family members from across Illinois at tonight’s game to #PinkOut the United Center. This is the fourth consecutive year that Advocate and the Bulls have honored those affected by breast cancer, a disease that approximately one in eight women develop during their lifetime.

According to the organizers, fans entering the stadium will receive a pink Advocate breast cancer t-shirt. Bulls ambassadors, broadcasters, coaches and members of Bulls Entertainment will incorporate pink into their wardrobes, as will Benny the Bull and the Luvabulls. All Bulls players will wear special #CheckYourGirls pink warm-ups. The United Center will also be decorated with pink elements and lighting!

Dr. Heidi Memmel, a breast surgeon with Advocate Health Care and breast cancer survivor joined John and Ray on Monday morning. Hear the full interview here:
