(CHICAGO) Two men, who the FBI says, robbed a pair of north suburban banks last week have been arrested. 22-year old Jerrious Jackson of Mississippi faces bank robbery and attempted bank robbery charges. 20-year old Rei Quon Gaines of Evanston is charged with one federal count of bank robbery.
Authorities say, on November 21st, one man walked into the PNC bank branch on North Sheridan Road in Zion, grabbed crash from an unlocked teller drawer but then drop it when he tried to jump over the counter. This, while the other man waited outside. The two then ran off.
A couple of hours later, at a Fifth Third Bank Branch on Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook, a man got away with almost 3-thousand dollars.
The two men are also charged with robbing a Credit Union in Texas, earlier this month.
Feds say, after the robberies, Jackson made his Facebook profile picture a shot of someone holding up a fan of cash in front of his face and his Messenger app referenced the Northbrook robbery.
