(Chicago) Police are warning Northwest Side business owners after a string of four burglaries at Irving Park neighborhood cell phone stores over the past month.
Burglars have thrown bricks through the front windows of stores or pried open doors to steal phones, money and other merchandise, according to a community alert from Albany Park District Chicago Police.
The burglaries happened:
–Nov. 23, about 10 p.m. in the 3700 block of North Elston;
–Dec. 3, about 1:35 a.m. in the 3900 block of North Kimball;
–Dec. 12, about 1:55 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Montrose; and
–Dec. 16, about 7:20 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Montrose.
Two males were seen in one incident and three wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks were seen in another, but police do not have a detailed description of the possible burglars.
