(Chicago) Police are warning Near West Side residents of two armed robberies that happened just minutes apart last Friday.
Two suspects walked up to the victims, pulled out a handgun and demanded property, according to the community alert from Area Central detectives.
The robberies both happened on Jan. 16, the first about 9:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Blue Island and the next about 15 minutes later in the 1100 block of West Polk, police said.
One of the suspects is described as a black man between 18 and 20 years old, 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, 165 and 175 pounds and wearing a black ski mask and a black hooded sweatshirt.
The second suspect is described as a black man between 18 and 20 years old, 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, 160 and 170 pounds and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.
