(CHICAGO) She may seem like a dream but – Chicago police say meeting that possible girlfriend could turn into a nightmare. That is why they’ve issued a community alert on Chicago’s South Side.
Police say a woman is being used to apparently talk a good-game on line, convincing men to meet her face-to-face at 92nd and South Bishop.
Instead of a woman, it’s robbers who’ve shown up in the South Side Washington Heights neighborhood and in 2 recent cases three men with guns have stolen wallets and other property.
The September 30 and October 2 armed robberies have taken place around 10pm.
Chicago police say if you are meeting a stranger – do it in a public location and keep tracking software and security locks on cell phones.
