Other Primary Results from Super Tuesday

(CHICAGO) Some other race results that may have been shadowed by the presidential primaries.
Of course by now we know Kim Foxx upset Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez. And house speaker Michael Madigan (D-Chicago) beat out challenger Jason Gonzales.
Another closely watched race was between State. Rep. Ken Dunkin (D-Chicago) and challenger Juliana Stratton. Stratton won. Asked if President Barack Obama’s personalized campaign ad for Stratton played a role, Dunkin told reporters Tuesday night, “absolutely.”
U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) took his primary and as was expected, his rival U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth did as well. It will be a closely watched race come November.
U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Chicago) won over his opponent Howard Brookins.
